CFMoto 675SR-R Supersport Arrives Soon

In-line three-cylinder machine challenges the middleweight supersport class

CFMoto has officially unveiled the 675SR-R, its brand new challenger in the middleweight supersport category. This exciting machine breaks the mold by ditching the typical parallel-twin engine and opting for a potent 674cc inline-three, directly taking aim at established players like Triumph and Honda.

Triple Power for Thrilling Performance

The heart of the 675SR-R lies in its all-new, liquid-cooled triple-cylinder engine. Based on the company's existing 450cc parallel-twin platform, this new motor boasts advanced features like cobalt alloy valves, forged pistons, and a low-inertia crankshaft. The result? A thrilling 94 horsepower and 69.1 Nm of torque, putting it right in the mix with the likes of the Triumph Daytona 660 (93 HP) and Honda CBR650R (95 HP). This output figure is particularly impressive considering it adheres to strict Euro-5 emission standards.

Sharp Handling and Agile Performance

Matched to a responsive six-speed transmission, the 675SR-R promises a dynamic riding experience. The chassis is built from a lightweight alloy steel, providing a solid foundation for the fully-adjustable KYB suspension setup. Up front, 41mm upside-down forks offer precise control, while a KYB monoshock takes care of rear damping. Braking duties are handled by dual 300mm discs with J.Juan calipers at the front, complemented by a single 240mm disc in the rear.

The 675SR-R tips the scales at a claimed 429 pounds (full tank), making it a lightweight option compared to some competitors. This translates to a potentially more nimble and responsive ride on the track or twisty roads.

Aggressive Design with Modern Features

The 675SR-R doesn't just boast impressive specs; it also turns heads with its aggressive design. The front end features a unique LED headlight flanked by aerodynamic winglets. Sharp lines and angular fairings further contribute to the bike's sporty character. While the aggressive tail section keeps the design sleek, the integrated turn signals within the horizontal taillight might be a point of discussion for some riders.

CFMoto hasn't skimped on features either. The 675SR-R comes equipped with a modern five-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity for seamless smartphone integration, and essential rider aids like a two-mode traction control system, quickshifter, lap timer, and adjustable levers.

A Competitive Option for Mid-Range Supersport Enthusiasts

With its powerful triple-cylinder engine, sharp handling, and attractive feature set, the CFMoto 675SR-R poses a serious threat to established players in the middleweight supersport segment. This bike offers a compelling alternative for riders seeking a potent and feature-rich machine at a potentially competitive price point. While official pricing hasn't been announced yet, the wait for the 675SR-R's arrival shouldn't be much longer, making it an exciting option to consider for upcoming motorcycle purchases.
