Explore Specialized's Latest Affordable Trail and Downhill Bikes Featuring Enhanced Travel and Upgraded Components
Specialized has announced its latest range of Status bikes, expanding its offerings with the new Status 2 models. This new series updates the brand’s popular alloy-framed Status platform, adding more travel and options for different riding styles.
The Status 170 extends the travel for those seeking more aggressive trail riding capabilities. Its design features adjustable geometry to handle steep descents and rough terrain effectively. The Status DH 170 is equipped with a dual-crown fork and coil shocks to handle intense downhill runs. It also features a SRAM GX DH drivetrain and TRP Trail-Evo brakes for enhanced control and performance.
The new Status models come with a revised frame design that includes larger top and down tubes for increased strength. The geometry is adjustable via a flip-chip at the dropout pivot, allowing riders to fine-tune the bike’s handling and bottom bracket height.
All models now include improved components such as a longer dropper post and updated Shimano Deore drivetrains for better performance. The Status 2 140 and 170 use Marzocchi Bomber air shocks, while the 170 DH comes with a 180mm travel Boxxer Select fork and a Super Deluxe Select coil shock.
Specialized’s new Status 2 series delivers exciting options for both trail and downhill riders, with competitive pricing and notable upgrades across the range.
