Giant Unveils New Revolt Gravel Bikes: Advanced and Advanced Pro Models

Giant has introduced the latest models in their popular Revolt gravel bike series, known for their reliability and performance. The fourth-generation Revolt bikes bring significant upgrades, including internal frame storage and better cable integration for improved aerodynamics and looks.

Advanced Pro and Advanced Models

Revolt Advanced: This model features an Advanced-Grade frame and fork, with mounts on the top tube and fork legs. It is compatible with both a 30.9mm dropper post and a standard round seatpost. The Advanced model includes an alloy Contact SL XR D-Fuse handlebar and now comes with downtube and chainstay protection.

It also includes Giant CXR 2 carbon disc wheels wrapped in CADEX GX 700x40c tubeless tires.

The SRAM Apex 1 drivetrain with 1x12 shifting provides reliable performance on various terrains, while the hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors ensure confident stopping power in all weather conditions.

It comes in a Carbon or Solar Flare color and features an Advanced-grade composite frame with a flip chip dropout for adjustable geometry. It's equipped with a Shimano GRX 610 groupset for 2x12 shifting and hydraulic disc brakes, and Giant P-X2 Disc wheels with tubeless Giant Crosscut Grip TR tires.

It features a flip chip to adjust the wheelbase for handling or tire clearance, and internal storage for essentials. The bike comes equipped with Shimano GRX RX-400 hydraulic disc brakes and a 2x10 drivetrain for reliable shifting, and Giant Crosscut Grip TR tubeless tires for a comfortable ride.

Revolt Advanced Pro: Sharing the same Advanced-Grade frame, the Pro version includes an Advanced SL fork with additional mounting points and a carbon D-Fuse handlebar for enhanced performance.

The bike is equipped with SRAM Rival eTap AXS 2x12 drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes, Giant CXR 1 carbon wheels with CADEX GX 700x40c tubeless tires, and costs $5800 in the United States.

Modern Design with Pro Input

These new models were developed with input from Giant's gravel racing team. The bikes were tested in real-world conditions, including at the Unbound Gravel race. Brendan Johnston, a professional rider, used a pre-production version of the new Revolt at the event.

Versatile Flip Chip System

A standout feature of the new Revolt is the adjustable Flip Chip rear dropout. This system allows riders to adjust the bike’s chainstays and wheelbase by 10mm, offering different riding experiences. The longer setting provides more stability for tough terrains, while the shorter setting enhances agility for faster rides. The Flip Chip also adjusts tire clearance from 42mm to 53mm.

Improved Comfort and Handling

Giant has upgraded the handlebars, saddles, and wheel systems in the new models. The bikes use Giant’s D-Fuse technology in the carbon seatpost and handlebars, which is designed to improve ride comfort by reducing vibrations compared to standard round profiles.

These upgrades make the new Revolt models more versatile and comfortable for various types of gravel and mixed-surface riding. The improved features aim to meet the needs of both competitive racers and recreational riders.
